Synopsis

In Essaouira, a Catholic cemetery borders the ocean. Diakaté, Augustin, and Pierre are there to maintain and clear sand from these old colonial graves. They take care of the graves of Westerners who came to die in Morocco. They are themselves strangers to this land. Coming from Guinea and Senegal, each finds himself prevented from continuing his migratory journey, condemned to remain in this place of death, enclosed by large white walls.
