Two episodes punctuate our narrative.

The first deals with the Battle of Britain (August 5 - May 1941). During the Blitz, the country finds itself alone against Nazi power, but British society resists and then develops its response to Hitler's Germany.

The second episode recounts the continuation of British society's mobilization, how the destruction of the enemy, including cities and civilians, became an inevitable and legitimate war aim.
